Experiments have revealed that corporate uniform wearers know that, while wearing their business on their sleeve, so to speak, they know that their behavior is an extension and representation of the company they work for, and therefore, most employees perform on their best behavior while wearing these uniforms. And, as is the argument of so many school uniform proponents, uniform programs introduce a sense of equality among employees and alleviate the pressure to buy expensive clothing and accessories to display wealth and success to those surrounding them in their work environment.
For customers, corporate uniforms help identify staff and employees as persons of authority who can help answer questions and provide guidance on subjects and services a company offers. This is extremely important at trade shows and events where it is easy to lose track of which employee goes with which booth, display, speaker, etc. Uniform programs, of course, also display a great sense of professionalism to a company or business’ customer or client base, and shows dedication and loyalty to the brand.
